And one thing worth saying up front. The music isn’t the show. You and your people are. Everything here exists to keep your family and friends in the room and on the floor — not to put a performance in front of them. What you should remember afterwards is the night, not the entertainment.
How the day runs
Ceremony
Live saxophone for the prelude while guests find their seats, the processional, and the recessional. Played live means played at your pace — a recording runs at whatever speed it was recorded at.
Wireless microphones for your officiant and your vows, so the people at the back actually hear you.

Cocktail hour
Live saxophone and vocals while guests move through. This is the hour most couples spend at the photo session and never hear, which is exactly why it needs to hold on its own.
Reception
Full DJ and MC. Introductions, the first dance, toasts, the parent dances, the cake, the send-off — announced and timed so nothing stalls and nobody is left wondering what happens next.
Then live saxophone and vocals worked into the dance sets, at the points where the room needs them.

Why it isn’t live all night
Because it would stop working. Live music played continuously becomes background by the third song — nobody looks up. The moments land because they arrive when something in the room calls for them, and then they stop.
There’s no fixed allocation for this and it isn’t decided in a planning meeting. Some receptions want the saxophone out early and often. Some want a single moment, placed exactly right. Some want a vocal on a slow song and would be worse with a saxophone over it.
That judgment is the service. The rest of the night is a DJ who knows what he’s building toward.

DJ, band, or this
A live band performs all evening from a setlist it has rehearsed, and it costs several times what a DJ does. A DJ can play anything ever recorded, but nothing happens live in the room.

Something no video can do: come and watch. Public shows run most weeks across Southwest Florida, couples are welcome, and there’s no obligation at all.

How much does a wedding DJ cost in Southwest Florida?
Packages here start at $1,000 for ceremony or cocktail hour only, $1,800 for ceremony and cocktail hour together, $2,500 for a full wedding up to 3.5 hours, and $3,500 for a full day up to 6.5 hours. Live saxophone, live vocals, DJ and MC are included in all of them. Most couples spend around $3,500.
Do you MC as well as DJ?
Yes, and it’s included. Introductions, announcements, special dances and keeping the timeline moving. You don’t need a separate MC.
Can you cover just the ceremony?
Yes. Ceremony-only starts at $1,000, and it’s common when a couple already has a DJ booked for the reception. Ceremony and cocktail hour together is $1,800.
What’s the difference between this and a wedding band?
A band plays a rehearsed setlist and costs several times a DJ. This gives you live saxophone and vocals at the moments that matter, with unlimited music around them, for one vendor’s fee.
Do you sing as well as play saxophone?
Yes — and it’s genuinely unusual. Most sax-and-DJ performers only play. Live vocals mean cocktail hour can be a vocal set and a first dance can be sung live, instead of needing a separate singer.
Do you carry liability insurance?
Yes. A certificate of insurance is available on request and can go straight to your venue or coordinator — most venues require one before adding a vendor to their approved list.
How far in advance should we book?
Most couples book nine to twelve months out. Saturdays in season go first. Weekday dates are often still open later and are priced lower.
Do you take song requests?
Yes, and a do-not-play list too. Both get agreed before the day.
Do you do more than one event a day?
No. One event per day — your wedding is the only thing booked.
