Most parties get a speaker in the corner and somebody’s phone. It works until it doesn’t — the playlist runs out, nobody dances, and the night quietly winds down an hour early.
This is the same setup that runs weddings, brought to a party that isn’t one. Live saxophone and vocals when the room wants them, a full DJ set around it, and someone reading the room instead of a playlist running to the end.
What we play
Milestone birthdays
Fortieth, fiftieth, sixtieth, ninetieth. A room that spans three generations needs music from all of them, which is where having anything ever recorded stops being a boast and starts being useful.
Anniversaries
The songs that actually meant something, played live rather than streamed.
Retirement parties
A career’s worth of eras in one night, plus the speeches handled on mic so nobody has to tap a glass.
Holiday parties
Season runs December through April here and books early. Holiday dates go first.
Graduations and family gatherings
Backyards, lanais, restaurants, clubhouses. The rig scales to the room.
How it usually works
An atmosphere set. Live sax and vocals through arrival and dinner, at a volume people can talk over. Two to three hours, no dance floor needed.
A full night. The atmosphere set, then a DJ and MC set after, with live sax dropped over the tracks once people are up.
Most parties want one or the other. Tell me which sounds like yours and I’ll tell you what it costs.
What it costs
Private parties start at $1,000. What it comes to depends on how long the night runs and whether you want the full DJ set after dinner. Most parties land between $1,000 and $2,500.
